We think they’ll like it
Beyond the seaside and city breaks, many country hotels will be hoping for a boost from summer staycation stays, including Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa in the heart of rural Warwickshire.
It’s undergone a £5.6m refurbishment and visitors will find new look bedrooms complete with rich, warm designs, upgraded guest spaces with a contemporary twist, a stunning restaurant and bar featuring original 16th century oak panelling, and a newly renovated spa and wedding venue.
Many bedrooms in the Bespoke Hotels property have been upgraded with sumptuous new furnishings. Four poster beds, period fireplaces and contemporary fabrics ensure a charming blend of traditional and modern, with elegant and refined design. The makeover has retained floor-to-ceiling oakwood panelling, complemented and elevated with a new rich colour palette of blues and golds. Plush, velvet furniture has been added throughout, whilst artwork by Pratiksha Tayal brings a contemporary twist to the traditional paintings that previously adorned the walls.
Legend has it that the property is on the site where Shakespeare wrote ‘As You Like It’. The grounds include an 11th century church and a listed, ornate topiary garden.
