The Hex roars into life in Yorkshire
If housekeepers at a new Yorkshire hotel hear strange noises they – and the guests – will soon get used to them. It could well be the roar of a lion, giggles of a laughing hyena or bark of a sea lion.
The Hex hotel is the latest addition to the 175-acre Yorkshire Wildlife Park just outside Doncaster, with bookings opening this week. The park already offered glamping and camping and now has a smart hotel including a full range of guest rooms, suites, and family rooms with complimentary WIFI.
It’s opening means park guests can enjoy hotel comforts just a short walk from the park, which includes endangered animals such as rhinos, giraffes, and polar bears. The park is very much a central hub for employment in the county and this was highlighted just last year with a £50 million investment. The addition of the hotel means Yorkshire Wildlife Park can market itself as a one-stop destination. As well as the wildlife it has a shopping hub, themed restaurants and other family attractions.
