Seaside specials opening
Premier Inn’s expansion plan of operating in an increasing number of popular leisure and seaside locations looks set to really pay off this year with the expected staycation boom. Five hotels, a mixture of freehold and leasehold developments, will soon be added to their offering.
A new 100-bedroom hotel opened at Sandown Seafront on the Isle of Wight at the end of February with new Premier Inn hotels at Scarborough, Bournemouth, Blackpool, and Thurso in Scotland opening their doors during spring and early summer.
Nearly half of the group’s staying customers are on leisure breaks and the aim is to meet the growing demand for UK breaks and staycations. The five new hotels should create around 130 new jobs when fully occupied looking after some 545 additional Premier Inn seaside rooms.
