Tyram eco hotel yorkshire

Planning consent granted for Yorkshire £25m eco hotel

Developers have secured planning permission to start construction on a £25m eco hotel in Yorkshire to be operated by Campbell Gray Hotels.

The Tyram Lakes Hotel and Spa will be part of a wider eco-development around a series of lakes at the 165-acre site.

The hotel will feature 104 bedrooms, conference and meeting facilities, a fine dining restaurant with lakeside views, and indoor pool, leisure club, spa and an events venue. Eco lodges will float amongst reed beds at the side of one of the lakes.

Richard Coutts, director of Baca Architects, says: “We have created a piece of living sculpture that flows around the edge of the lake. Together with the floating lodges, the whole complex will be the first of its kind in the UK and a centrepiece in the growing attraction of South Yorkshire and the North.”

The long-term vision for Tyram Lakes Resort is to develop a total of 100 plus lakeside and floating lodges as well as lodges placed within the woodlands.
