Making the most of old mattresses

Star Linen’s ReStart programme has recorded another success, this time in partnership with East Sussex National Hotel, part of the Countrywide Hotels Group. The project saw Star Linen deliver a full upgrade of their mattresses, with recycling of all the old ones.

Nigel Hallisey, Star Linen’s national sales director, says: “Working closely with the hotel team, we supplied brand new high-quality mattresses to enhance guest comfort across their beautiful property. But what really made this project stand out was their commitment to sustainability.

Instead of sending dozens of used mattresses to landfill, East Sussex National Hotel chose to use our ReStart initiative – ensuring every old mattress was collected, broken down and recycled into reusable materials like steel, foam and textiles.”
