High-capacity ED900 completes Girbau ED dryer range

Girbau has added a new high capacity model to its energy efficient ED range of dryers.

The new ED900 has a 900-litre drum and 45kg capacity, making it ideal for commercial laundries and larger on-premise laundries in hotels and spas. It’s now available for UK customers to order.

Like all models in the elegantly designed ED range, the ED900 is available with gas, electric of steam heating options. The new model joins the existing ED260, ED340, ED460, ED660 and ED1250 with capacities ranging from 14.5kg to 62.5kg.

ED Series dryers feature Girbau Transflow technology. This is a combination of both radial and axial airflow for maximum efficiency and drying throughout the drum, reduced cycle times and lower energy consumption. Heat capture cabinet insulation and Girbau’s double-glazed door further optimise energy efficiency and prevent heat escaping to the laundry. The drum’s unique Care Touch design manufactured with no sharp edges prolongs linen life

ED series dryers’ sophisticated, intuitive and easy-to-use controls with a state-of-the-art user interface ensure delicate items are dried safely, uniformly, efficiently and cost-effectively. The highly efficient ED900 with gas heating offers two drying cycles per hour and consumes just 1.16KWh/l. Drum movement and air flow through the linen are fully adjustable.

The reliable and accurate built-in humidity control system automatically senses when clothes are dry and activates the cool down process maximising energy efficiency and assuring the best textile care. Girbau’s speed control function can be used to manually or automatically optimise drum speed to suit residual moisture content.
