Fresh for a sparkling future

Traditional cleaning products often come with strong odours, harmful residues, and environmental impact. Delphis Eco takes a different approach, offering plant-based, non-toxic solutions that are as gentle on people, animals and the planet as they are tough on dirt. Their formulas are free from chlorine bleaches, phosphates, and APEs, and packaged in post-consumer recycled plastic.

Their professional favourites include Bio washroom and daily toilet cleaners, multi-purpose cleaner, an all-rounder for guest areas and public spaces, foaming de-scaler spray to tackle limescale and grime, scented air neutraliser to eliminate odours and provide a light, welcoming fragrance, and anti-bacterial sanitiser ideal for high-traffic areas.

With efficient dosing systems and refill options that cut down waste and cost, Delphis Eco makes it simple for hotels and hospitality venues to keep standards high, without compromising their sustainability commitments. Founder and CEO Mark Jankovich says: “Our mission is to prove that professional cleaning can deliver exceptional results while protecting the environment. It’s about helping every housekeeping team shine, both now and for the planet’s future.”

Delphis Eco hold more EU Ecolabel accreditations than any other brand in the country along with His Majesty the King’s Royal Warrant.

New eco-brand Affect+ is introducing a non-toxic, stronger than bleach disinfectant, that’s as safe for care homes and nurseries as it is effective in other spaces. Up to 200 times more powerful than bleach, Affect+ offers a breakthrough alternative for businesses seeking a powerful disinfectant without the health and environmental fallout of traditional chemicals.

Affect+ is composed of hypochlorous acid, a natural compound found in our own white blood cells to fight infection, produced through a patented ‘Diltration’ process developed by partner company Paqua.

Through using sustainable systems, a highly effective disinfectant that’s biodegradable, non-polluting, and free from bleach, ammonia, and any added chemicals is created. Affect+ can disinfect and deodorise a wide range of surfaces, from hospitality venues to toilets, worktops and yoga mats. It’s tough enough for professional use in high-traffic environments, yet gentle and safe for everyday use in professional care settings.

Unlike standard disinfectant products that rely on harsh chemicals, Affect+ works by breaking down the cell walls of bacteria and viruses, quickly neutralising harmful pathogens without toxic fumes, residues or surface damage.

Marketing manager Sofaya Looker-Ere, says: “With our product, we want to help our customers make small changes so they can reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on quality.”

Professor Darren Reynolds, University of West England, explains: “There are three main aspects to this innovation. The first one is excellent engineering and integration of products, using only salt and water. The second is the integration and implementation of appropriate membrane technology. And the third is the introduction of a new kind of disinfectant.”

Available now, Affect+ is offering exclusive early access pricing to selected gyms, studios, and hospitality venues across the UK alongside wider B2B distribution and strategic partnerships already in development.

Diversey, part of the Solenis group, know that while housekeepers are at the heart of creating and maintaining a welcoming sparkle, nowadays their role goes beyond cleanliness: sustainability has become a key expectation.

Their SURE range developed for professional housekeeping teams meets both demands, combining powerful cleaning performance with genuine eco-credentials, being made from plant-based, fully biodegradable ingredients, All products are C2C Certified and, where possible, also carry the EU Ecolabel, highlighting their safety for both people and the environment.

SURE is designed to be effective across all areas, from kitchens and bathrooms to high-traffic corridors and guest rooms, removing grease, limescale and dirt while maintaining hygiene standards. It’s ‘staff friendly’, having the lowest hazard classification and fragrance-free formulations and the concentrated formulas reduce waste. Packaging is recyclable and made from up to 100 per cent PCR plastic.

Many UK hospitality teams have adopted SURE, reporting noticeable benefits. Housekeepers appreciate products that perform consistently, reduce the need for multiple chemical solutions, and support long-term sustainability goals. Facilities managers also note efficiencies in storage, cost, and staff satisfaction – a win-win for every housekeeping department.

George Mason, sales and marketing director at Sybron, says: “In the cleaning and hygiene sector, there are products which deliver great results and there are others which offer great eco-credentials. However, what housekeepers are looking for is both, combined in one package, for example, Sybron’s SyBio, a natural, highly-concentrated cleaning product range.”

SyBio is tried and tested both to work to a very high standard, whilst at the same time to be genuinely kinder to the planet. SyBio allows the hospitality industry to make sustainable choices yet enjoy the same results you’d expect from traditional products. All Sybron’s national customers use this range.

In 2024, Sybron became the first UK distributor to achieve the world-renowned Ecocert certification for SyBio. A major accolade for the business, Ecocert advances sustainability through its Ecodetergent certification programme, ensuring that products are both naturally derived and eco-friendly, while also prioritising product performance and safety.

Mason continues: “With regards to a pre-Christmas deep clean, in my view this should not be necessary. This is because using a product like SyBio leaves a residual clean. This means that after cleaning, a layer of good bacteria remains on the surface and this continues to work, breaking down any remaining dirt, resulting in a residual clean.

“It is everyone’s responsibility to reduce environmental impact, and Sybron has put sustainability at the top of the business agenda, alongside innovation and great customer service. Sybron is focused on reducing its own carbon footprint, driving innovation to help customers meet their own sustainability goals.”
