Better Cotton plans for future
The Better Cotton conference will bring the entire sector together on 22 & 23 June in Malmö, Sweden, together with an online audience, to explore the theme of Climate Action and Cotton and collaborate on a more sustainable future.
Speakers will come from across the entire cotton supply chain, from cotton farmers to retail giants. They include Anita Chester, head of materials at the Laudes Foundation and Marco Reyes, senior director of sustainability for Walmart Stores Inc. Two inspiring Better Cotton farmers – Balubhai Parmar and Lacy Cotter Vardeman – will be keynote speakers.
There will also be thought-provoking sessions in collaboration with numerous organisations, including the EU Commission, WWF, Textile Exchange, Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade. More details can be found at bettercotton.org.
