Facemasks from BC Softwear, the family-run company that has been supplying luxury towels, bathrobes and footwear to the hospitality sector for almost 20 years, is proving a hit with UK laundry businesses.
Many of BC Softwear’s usual clients were forced to close through the height of lockdown. But it soon became clear there was a real interest in obtaining high quality, effective and comfortable facemasks – and a quick customer survey established potential demand
The company pulled out all the stops to design and deliver a facemask that customers in the hotel, laundry and spa sectors could rely on.
The Swiss Group laundries (Swiss and Camplings) are avowed fans of the facemasks. Craig Saunt, production and engineering director at Swiss, wrote to BC Softwear: “The masks you have supplied are very good, thank you, and have now become our mask of choice.”
The washable mask is made from 100% natural cotton and composed of three layers. The outer and inner layers are made of cotton with a protective synthetic fabric middle layer, which provides improved breathability and protection from moisture and droplets. The mask helps to provide a level of air filtration.
The mask has a soft wire to make it more fitted to wear, and so more comfortable. Fabric is 100% soft cotton in a neutral colour, soft grey, with a seamed edge. The middle protection layer is made from a non-woven bonded fabric to help with air filtration and the mask has black adjustable, elasticated ear loops and is a generously sized 21 cm x 14cm.
BC SoftWear has spent considerable time and investment in its company sustainability programme, launching the SmartSoft energy saving range bathrobes, towels, and spa linen at the end of 2019. Keen to ensure they continue this outlook, their masks can be repeatedly washed and reused. The recommended washing temperature is 60C. Single trade price is £2.40 each with a pack of 100 units priced at £1.95 each. The product is available from stock.
