Award-winning hotel on sale

The George Hotel in Inverary, Argyll, which has been owned by the Clark family since 1860, has gone on the market through Christie & Co and Smith and Clough Business Associates with a guide price of £3.9m for the freehold. The hotel, with views of Loch Fyne, has 24 bespoke rooms, lounge and cocktail bar and restaurant. There’s also a converted four-bedroom cottage and staff accommodation.

It’s been a regular award winner, receiving accolades for culinary excellence, extensive whiskies selection and dog-friendly approach.
